The Reimbursement Group (TRG) is a valuable resource for reimbursement expertise based on proven performance in the healthcare industry.  Whether your corporation specializes in medical devices, health systems, biotechnology or pharmaceuticals, TRG is your gateway to all of your reimbursement management needs.

TRG‘s focus is working with new technologies — pre FDA clearance, or early launch.  We know how important it is to identify, understand, and address your prospective reimbursement barriers.  Your reimbursement plan should have three solid elements:  appropriate coding, knowledgeable & effective field support, and management planning for future horizon events.

Experience you can count on, advice you can trust.

Our Founder.

Founder Mary Corkins has worked in the business of healthcare for more than twenty years.  She understands the details.  Mary has experience supporting reimbursement processes from the perspective of all stakeholders:  Providers, Manufacturers, Payors, and Patients.

After the sale of St. Francis Medical Technologies in December 2006, she established The Reimbursement Group (TRG) with the goal of providing superior reimbursement services for new technology products entering the US marketplace.  It’s about establishing access to healthcare.

Over her career, Mary has successfully lobbied to create policy for coverage in many specialties including cardiology, ENT, neurosurgical, orthopedic, ophthalmologic, and woundcare.  Our goal is to deliver and support an attractive reimbursement landscape on behalf of our new technology clients.

Ms. Corkins holds a Master’s of Business Administration in International Business from the University of Toledo, a BA from Michigan State University and has formerly held certification from the American Academy of Professional Coders.

Customized Services

TRG develops customized approaches based on our broad range of consulting and reimbursement support services.  A product’s reimbursement needs depend on a number of factors — some driven by product changes, some triggered by changing competitive or market conditions, …..and recently….significant changes to the patient-doctor relationship as a result of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA).

Problem Solvers

Our problem-solving approach is based on strategic reimbursement planning, sales launch & support, as well as expedited payor adoption for new technologies and services.  The rules have changed.  Manufacturers cannot employ a passive reimbursement support plan.  TRG has the tactical and strategic experience to solve problems today, and reduce barriers tomorrow.
